The headquarters of the company is in Pancevo, and the production facilities occupy 241 hectares in the industrial zone of Pancevo, in Elemir near Zrenjanin.
In the integrated petrochemical complex HIP-Petrohemija, it is currently possible to produce more than six hundred thousand tons of petrochemicals per year.
Everything starts with the production process in Pancevo, which includes seven production and service facilities, with a laboratory and the necessary supporting services. The production of ethylene with co-products and polyethylene HIPTEN® and HIPLEX® takes place here. A factory for the production of polyethylene pipes and fittings is also located in Pancevo.

Synthetic rubber factory
In Elemir near Zrenjanin, the synthetic rubber factory uses a co-product from Pancevo – C4 fraction – as a raw material. Its processing produces the monomer 1,3-butadiene, and then the polymer – synthetic styrene-butadiene rubber HIPREN®. Methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), an additive for motor gasoline, is also produced at this location. For MTBE production, raffinate 1, the residue after processing the C4-fraction, is used as a raw material.

Basic products that are not processed in HIP-Petrochemistry (propylene, pyrolytic oil, pyrolytic gasoline) are the starting point for numerous other uses in the chemical and processing industry.
The business of HIP-Petrohemija covers a period longer than four decades. With such experience in the application of modern technologies and continuous improvement of processes and products, solid positions have been acquired on the domestic and foreign markets.
HIP-Petrohemija earns more than 80% of its revenues from exports, with the main markets being neighboring countries and the European Union.
