This phase was successfully completed at the end of 2024, and in December 2024, the NIS Board of Directors approved the transition to the next phase of the “Planning and Preparation – FEED” project.

Key aspects of performance enhancement

Improvement of corporate culture

Corporate culture has always been part of the business environment. It is the way we behave as a team and the way we do our work. Practice has shown that it should not be allowed to develop by itself, but rather it is necessary to name it, get to know it and work on it, so that the company can more easily reach its strategic goals. Its basic framework is defined by corporate values, which are our guide and direction in our daily work.

Transparency, responsibility, expertise and innovation are the foundation of our corporate culture. They should not only be “on paper”, but really included in all processes, starting with communication. They should be the driver of our business development, the best adviser in decision-making, determining the way we work and how we treat others.

Research also shows that respect is the most important thing for employees in the workplace. Each of us can understand respect in different ways, and it includes care, dignity, recognition, reward, honoring. A respected employee is one who is respected, recognized, valued and protected. That’s why we decided to pay more attention to strengthening the respect of each of us, as well as strengthening fair relations in the workplace. With the aim of providing support to our colleagues, at HIP-Petrohemija we created a support program for all of us, called “Respect, first of all!”

The program stands on three “pillars”, i.e. three support centers:

  • Ethics Advisor
  • Support in case of suspected mobbing
  • Mental health support

A quality work environment is one in which we all feel satisfied, and therefore we are more productive. That is why we are determined to strengthen this kind of environment, and one of the tools is “Respect, above all!”.
