At HIP-Petrohemija, one of the key projects defined under the Remediation Plan* has been completed, namely the disposal of historical waste – mercury and mercury-contaminated sludge – originating from the Electrolysis Factory, where the production process was shut down in 2014.

The production shutdown begins on Monday, 15th March, in the Low Density Polyethylene Plant (LDPE), and it is expected to last 35 days, while the Ethylene and other production plants located in HIP-Petrohemija, Pančevo, and those of the Synthetic Rubber Plant, Elemir, shall be shutdown for 30 days, beginning from Saturday, 20th March.
