After the successful implementation of turnaround activities, HIP-Petrohemija is restarting its production. The Utility Plant and Waste Water Treatment Plant have already been restarted, and the other petrochemical plants are ready to be put back into operation. On Thursday and Friday, 22nd and 23rd April, we expect the production process to be restarted in the Ethylene, High Densyty Polyethylene (HDPE) and Low Densyty Polyethylene (LDPE) plants.

The most significant investment activities which took place during the shutdown were SCADA system implementation at the Power Supply Plant and general overhaul of the extruder in the LDPE plant. In addition to the investment activities, the overhaul maintenance works were done on the process equipment and safety systems in order to provide undisturbed and safe operation of the plants in the upcoming time. Thanks to the good organization and great job of the employees and contractors, all the investment and maintenance activities in HIP-Petrohemija were completed successfully.

All the activities in relation with the production process restart in HIP-Petrohemija shall be carried out in compliance with the prescribed safety measures and the company procedures, in order to keep the living and working environment safe. When starting the production in HIP-Petrohemija, some increased noise and enlarged flare stack may occur what is a part of the general safety system of the plants during the startup and operation process. The competent authorities were informed about the plants startup.
