HIPP begins start-up activities

In HIP-Petrohemija in Pancevo, pre-start activities have commenced with the aim of restoring the operation of the production facilities, with the planned start of operation from February 5.

The start-up process of Petrohemija, after two months of downtime that began after the shutdown of the Refinery in Pancevo, is being implemented according to the planned schedule and in accordance with the company procedures, as well as the highest environmental and safety standards.

The start-up activities at the Ethylene plant are characterised by the occurrence of noise, smoke and intense flame on a flare, which can be expected in the period from 5 February to 8 February.

The start of the plant is expected on February 16 at the Synthetic Rubber Factory in Elemir.

During the downtime, planned overhaul activities were carried out with the aim of ensuring greater reliability of the plant operation.

Petrohemija’s production schedule depends on the volume of virgin naphtha from the Pancevo Oil Refinery and the long-term sustainable solution for smooth performance of NIS’s operational activities.
