Successful Promotion of Cooperation Between HIP-Petrohemija and the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade

On Friday, 31 March, the cooperation between HIP-Petrohemija and the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy was promoted at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade, in the presence of a large number of students, distinguished experts, and engineers from HIP-Petrohemija. Following the presentation of the Company and its development strategy, a jointly implemented project entitled Optimisation of Pyrolytic Furnaces at the Ethylene Factory was presented, and new joint projects were also announced.

Velimir Unković, Director of HIP-Petrohemija, highlighted on this occasion the importance of cooperation with the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy and other educational institutions: “As a socially responsible company, HIP-Petrohemija continues to cooperate with universities in Belgrade and Novi Sad, seeking to integrate business and knowledge. The shared interest and strength of the partnership with the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy are reflected in improving students’ understanding of business processes, as well as closer interaction through internships and opening opportunities for students to continue their careers at HIP-Petrohemija. At the same time, this form of cooperation enables the transfer of specialised knowledge and tools to engineers from HIP-Petrohemija.”

Prof. Petar Uskoković PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade, expressed his satisfaction with the continuation of cooperation with the HIP-Petrohemija: “I would like to thank HIP-Petrohemija, a leader in the regional petrochemical market, for recognizing our faculty as a leader in science and education. This cooperation is of great importance for our faculty, as it will, among other things, enable our students to undertake professional internships at HIP-Petrohemija.”

Igor Stanković, Director of the Production and Technical Support Function of HIP-Petrohemija, talked about the importance of improving the investment process in the company: “The goal of cooperation with the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy is to support the educational programme and to create a way for our company to connect with students and familiarise them with business processes and opportunities to apply the theoretical knowledge they have acquired in practice. HIP-Petrohemija is becoming increasingly committed to the student population, especially to educational profiles that are essential for our operations.”

HIP-Petrohemija was presented as a promising company that, through cooperation with the scientific community and mutual exchange of knowledge and experience, is on the right path towards sustainable development. As part of the future cooperation between HIP-Petrohemija and the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade, guest lectures by petrochemical experts, training sessions, and joint projects will be organised.
