1,3-Butadiene

1,3-butadiene is an diene. At room temperature it is a colorless gas with a slightly aromatic odor. 1,3 butadiene is non-corrosive, highly reactive and flammable.

USE

1,3-Butadiene is used as a raw material in the production of synthetic rubber (styrene-butadiene, nitrile-butadiene, cis-polybutadiene rubber). It is also used in the production of plastics materials, colors and synthetic resins.
