HIP-Petrohemija (hereinafter referred to as the Company) is a manufacturer of basic and polymer petrochemical products and has been operating in the regional market for 50 years, driven by high-quality products and continuous dialogue with all stakeholders. As the petrochemical industry is an intensive consumer of energy and natural resources, effective energy management is a key instrument for ensuring the sustainable development of the Company’s operations. The continuous improvement of energy performance is one of the Company’s strategic objectives, directly contributing to environmental protection, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, cost optimization, and the competitiveness of our products.
HIP-Petrohemija LLC. Pancevo operates an Energy Management System in accordance with SRPS EN ISO 50001:2018, integrated into its regular business operations since 2015. This system ensures systematic energy management across all levels and functions of the Company, with the objective of rational energy use and ongoing performance improvement. The Company complies with applicable national and European legislation in the field of energy and energy efficiency, as well as with relevant international standards and recognized good industrial practice. As an obligated entity under the Energy Management System of the Republic of Serbia, all activities are aligned with statutory requirements related to energy efficiency. Programs and plans for enhancing energy efficiency are established, measurable energy objectives and action plans are defined, and regular reporting on energy performance is conducted. Dedicated teams carry out energy reviews and monitor, analyse, and guide the activities of all organizational units and individuals to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of energy objectives.
Energy efficiency is continuously improved through the modernization of facilities and ongoing process optimization. Employees clearly understand their roles and responsibilities in conserving energy resources and optimizing energy consumption by developing energy-efficient solutions, implementing energy recovery systems, and promoting the use of renewable energy sources. The Company ensures the availability of necessary resources and information to improve operational efficiency and organizational knowledge.
