The process at HIP-Petrohemija will be carried out in full compliance with the laws of the Republic of Serbia, internal regulations, and the strictest environmental standards and occupational safety and health requirements.

Activities related to the suspension of production at Petrohemija’s factories, i.e. the Ethylene Factory, starting from Thursday, 27 November, may be accompanied by increased noise levels and more intense flaring. This is part of the regular technological process and does not affect the environment. Such occurrences may be expected in the coming days.

No major overhaul activities will be carried out during the shutdown, and employees’ work will be organised in line with the established model applied in cases of planned downtime. In this way, the plants and employees will be fully prepared for the restart of Petrohemija, as soon as the supply of crude oil is established at the Pančevo Oil Refinery, followed by the supply of straight-run petrol to Petrohemija.

At present, HIP-Petrohemija continues to supply the domestic market with its products without interruption, thanks to previously secured supplies.
