Introduction and importance of sustainable development

Sustainability and environmental responsibility are part of the strategic commitment of HIP-Petrohemija. The HIP-Petrohemija Sustainable Development Report from 2023 is presented through the NIS Sustainable Development Report and is available on the website – NIS – Sustainable Development – Our Future is Green, which is aligned with the requirements of the world’s most representative methodology in that field – Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

We manage the production process and resources so that material and energy losses are minimized as we strive for further development to ensure a safe “lossless” process and at the same time preserve our planet for future generations.

We aim to encourage innovation in cleaner technologies and process improvement.

We strategically invest in asset renewal to ensure affordable and quality products, reliable energy with reduced emissions, a safe and secure working environment, socially responsible business, transparency in reporting to all stakeholders and a good company image.
